This not only wastes a lot of manpower, but also causes unnecessary errors due to manual reading, and sometimes brings unnecessary trouble and losses to users, and even some criminal suspects impersonate meter reading personnel to enter the house and affect social security. In addition, it is not easy for the power sector to carry out modern management. Therefore, both the power sector and users are urgent to change the current backward state, photoelectric sensors to develop automatic meter reading system to solve this problem.

The aluminum plate of the watt-hour meter is driven by the torque generated by the eddy current and the magnetic field. The number of revolutions of the aluminum disk can be converted into the number of pulses by using the photoelectric sensor. For example, when the rotating bright aluminum disk is partially blacked and equipped with a reflective photoemission receiving tube, pulses are generated at the locally blacked place when the aluminum is circling, and the revolution number of the aluminum disk can be sampled into the corresponding pulse number, and the photoelectric coupling isolation circuit is sent to the T0 port of the CPU for counting processing. The photoelectric coupling isolator can effectively prevent the interference signal from entering the microcomputer. Combined with other transmission methods, an automatic meter reading system can be formed.

At present, the automatic meter reading system has not been used on a large scale, this current technology has a lot to do with, the current set of technology is not very mature, there are many areas that need to be improved, with the development of technology, the next few years will realize automatic meter reading.
